Get to know Pediatrician Dr. Katherine A. Bovee, who serves patients in Warrenton, Virginia.

Dr. Bovee is a pediatrician who is affiliated with Piedmont Pediatrics. With four doctors, three nurse practitioners, phlebotomist and a staff full of licensed nurses and ancillary personnel, Piedmont Pediatrics is committed to serving children’s healthcare needs. The practice offers separate sick and well waiting areas, same day sick appointments with extended and Saturday hours, in house laboratory services, experience with foreign adoptions, and emergency services including foreign object removal and nebulizer (breathing) treatment.

Dr. Bovee is a honors graduate of the University of Richmond and the George Washington University School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency in Orlando, Florida at the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.

Dr. Bovee is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Founded in 1933, the ABP is one of the 24 certifying boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). It is an independent, nonprofit organization whose certificate is recognized throughout the world as a credential signifying a high level of physician competence.

Dr. Bovee is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), an organization of 67 ,000 pediatricians committed to the optimal physical, mental, and social health and well-being for all infants, children, adolescents, and young adults.

Dr. Bovee is currently licensed to practice medicine in Virginia and in Florida.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. As a pediatrician, Dr. Bovee examines, diagnoses, and treats children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses. She has an interest in newborn medicine and breastfeeding, which served her well at a hospital where there were 15,000 newborn deliveries each year. Her other medical interests include preventative care, asthma and obesity.

Dr. Bovee and her husband live in Warrenton with their two sons and daughter.
