Shashikanth Reddy Ambati, MBBS, is a pediatric intensive care specialist at the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center. Dr. Ambati cares for critically sick or injured children and has a particular interest in treating patients with sepsis, seizures, and cardiac or pulmonary arrest, as well as conducting simulation scenarios to teach residents how to care for critically sick patients in urgent situations.

After earning his medical degree at Kurnool Medical College in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, India, Dr. Ambati completed a pediatric residency at Miami Children’s Hospital and a pediatric critical care fellowship at the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical Center in New Hyde Park, N.Y. Dr. Ambati also served as a clinical instructor in the department of pediatrics for the North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine at Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y.
