Additionally, he has been named a regional Top Doctor in the field of hand surgery by Castle Connolly 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2017. Each of these honors is based on a survey of other physicians in the Washington DC area as to whom they would choose for their own medical care. Dr. Solomon maintains privileges at Holy Cross Hospital where he has served as the Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery since 2005. There, he oversees a busy orthopaedic surgery department with more than 30 surgeons. He also is part-owner and sits on the Board of Directors at the Surgery Center of Chevy Chase, a busy outpatient center with twenty orthopaedic surgeons performing more than 5000 procedures annually. Clinically, Dr. Solomon treats all conditions of the upper extremity, from shoulder to fingertip. His focus is treating conditions conservatively yet efficiently. Special areas of interest include carpal tunnel syndrome, sports injuries, arthritis, rotator cuff disease, and fractures of the hand and wrist. Dr. Solomon resides in Bethesda, Maryland with his three children. In his spare time he enjoys travel, golf, and the ocean.
