Dr. Sieg is a knowledgeable neurosurgeon in practice with Frazier Rehab Institute Jewish Hospital. It is located within UofL Health – Jewish Hospital, which is a 462-bed, internationally renowned, high-tech tertiary referral center located in downtown Louisville.

Since August of 2018, Dr. Seig has also been serving as Director of Neurotrauma / Assistant Professor within the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. There, she provides the following services: neurosurgical care for traumatic cranial and spinal cord injuries, neurocritical care, and advanced neuromonitoring, as well as minimally invasive and complex spine surgery.

A member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, she is board-certified through the American Board of Neurological Surgery, whose broad aim is to encourage the study, improve the practice, elevate the standards and advance the science of neurological surgery and thereby serve the cause of public health. 

Throughout her academic career, Dr. Sieg received her medical degree from Penn State College of Medicine. She completed her residency in neurological surgery at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, followed by one-year CAST accredited fellowships in neurocritical care and complex spine surgery at the same educational venue. 

The doctor’s research interests lie primarily in clinical and translational research in the field of neurotrauma and critical care (including spinal cord injury, brain trauma, and peripheral nerve injury). She has conducted various publications, book chapters, peer-reviewed posters and presentations, and lectures.
