Treating people the way he would want to be treated, Dr. Singer is a certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon specializing in reconstruction of the face and mouth. Since 1981, he has been practicing a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from corrective jaw surgery to wisdom tooth removal at his private practice in Chevy Chase, Maryland. 

He has been extensively trained in maxillofacial pathology, facial reconstruction, orthognathic (jaw) surgery, & TMJ treatment. He also has special interest in dental alveolar surgery, including wisdom teeth removal, extractions, bone grafting, & dental implant surgery.

Having grown up in Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Singer graduated from Brooklyn College. He began his dental training in Washington, D.C. and graduated at the top of his class at Howard University College of Dentistry. He completed his residency in oral & maxillofacial surgery at Howard University College of Dentistry, the Washington, DC VA Medical Center, and DC General Hospital, where he also served as chief resident in his last year.

In good standing with a number of professional dental organizations, he is a member of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, the District of Columbia Dental Society, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the American Society of Osseointegration, the Pan American Medical Society, the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, the Academy Dentistry International, the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, the Maimonides Dental Society, the Washington Dental Study Club, the Capital Dental Study Club, and the Diagnostics Unlimited Study Club. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and a Fellow of the International College of Dentists.

A past president of the District of Columbia Dental Society, it is there that Dr. Singer also served as a delegate to the American Dental Association for 14 years. He has taught at his alma mater Howard University College of Dentistry since 1981, and served as the liaison to Howard University College of Dentistry and the District of Columbia Elementary Schools for “Give Kids a Smile” day for 12 years.

Oral and maxillofacial surgery specializes in surgery of the face, mouth, and jaws. It is an internationally recognized surgical specialty. Oral and maxillofacial surgeons are dental specialists who treat conditions, defects, injuries, and esthetic aspects of the mouth, teeth, jaws, and face. Their training involves a four-year graduate degree in dentistry and the completion of a minimum four-year hospital surgical residency program.

Since 1981, Dr. Singer has been providing free oral surgery to numerous groups, including the N Street Village, the Spanish Catholic Center, and the Hebrew Home in Rockville. He has also provided free care to impoverished elementary school children and survivors of the Holocaust in the DC metro area.
