Educated in Nigeria and the United Kingdom Dr. Iroha graduated with his medical degree from the University of Benin, Faculty of Medicine in 1998. He started his training in the United Kingdom initially with an initial interest in general surgery and completed his membership with the royal college of surgeons in Edinburgh. He however found his passion really lay with internal medicine and he relocated to the United States, performing his residency in internal medicine at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center from 2008 until 2011.
Attributing his success to a commitment to great patient outcomes, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
