Get to know Dentist Dr. James R. Welland, who serves patients in West Chester Township, Ohio. Dr. Welland received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Since then, he has attended thousands of hours of continuing education at local, state, national and international meetings. Dr. Welland holds professional memberships with several organizations, including the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, the Keely Dental Society of Butler County, the Greater Cincinnati Dental Study Club, the Cincinnati Dental Society, and the Lakota Optimist Club. Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. As a dentist, Dr. Welland provides comprehensive dental care for both adults and children including: emergency treatment, preventive & restorative care, cosmetic smile makeovers, teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, implants, dental crowns & bridges, root canal therapy, dentures, nightguards, snoring appliances, invisalign and braces, nitrous oxide sedation, and six month smiles.
