Beebe Women’s Healthcare Bayside offers routine physical care and diseases of the reproductive system of women, including laparoscopic and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Beebe Healthcare is proud to be the first hospital in Delaware and on the Delmarva Peninsula – and one of only 15 in the United States – to be named a Center of Excellence in Women’s Health by the American Institute of Minimally Invasive Surgery (AIMIS).
Beebe Healthcare’s Margaret H. Rollins Lewes Campus is a 210-licensed-bed, not-for-profit community hospital. It offers an array of inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and diagnostic services. Beebe’s specialized service lines include cardiac and vascular, women’s health, as well as surgical, cancer, and orthopaedic services.
With a broad educational background, Dr. Eschbach graduated with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1995. He completed a rotating internship in 1996 and a residency in obstetrics and gynecology in 2000, both at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has gone on to advance his training in multiple minimally invasive surgery courses and is recognized by AMIS as an advanced laparoscopic surgeon. He has also served Beebe as Chief of the Department for many years helping to advance their women’s health service line.
Licensed to practice medicine in several states, he is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (AOBOG). The AOBOG is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DOs) who specialize in the care of the female reproductive tract and children during the course of pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period (obstetricians) and to qualified DOs who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the female reproductive tract (gynecologists).
