Get to know Podiatrist Dr. Oscar Castillo, who serves patients in New York.

A prominent podiatrist, Dr. Castillo sees patients at his private practice, Bronx Foot Care, with offices in the Bronx and Yonkers, New York. His podiatric interests lie in reconstructive foot surgery, trauma, wound care, biomechanics, diabetic foot care, general podiatric care, and sports medicine.

Treating patients of all ages, from infants to adults, Dr. Castillo is dedicated to getting to the root of all foot or ankle concerns. He works with each patient to form a treatment plan specific to their needs and lifestyle, taking pride in treating them with the respect and care that they deserve.

Pertaining to his educational pursuits, Dr. Castillo received his Undergraduate Degree in Pharmacology from Stony Brook University, and graduated with his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine Degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He then received his residency training in podiatric surgery at Bellevue Hospital and specialized in trauma.

A member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, the doctor is board certified in podiatric medicine and podiatric surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM). The ABPM exists to offer podiatric physicians a comprehensive board qualification and certification process.

Podiatry is a branch of medicine devoted to the study, diagnosis, and medical and surgical treatment of a variety of disorders of the foot, ankle, and lower extremity. A podiatrist, also known as a podiatric physician or a foot and ankle surgeon, is a medical professional devoted to the treatment of disorders of the foot, ankle, and lower extremity. They can treat injuries and complications from ongoing health issues like diabetes.

Dedicated to the care of the World Trade Center volunteers and their vast complications, Dr. Castillo worked in the World Trade Center Treatment Program at Mount Sinai.

On a more personal note, he is bilingual in English and Spanish, with patients from a variety of backgrounds enjoying having him as their physician.
