  • Is general anesthesia safe for wisdom teeth removal?

    Your dentist was probably referring to "Conscious Sedation" which is administered through an IV for your wisdom teeth removal procedure. It differs from general anesthesia (complete loss of consciousness and muscle control) in that the level of your consciousness will not be as altered. You will experience a lessening in awareness, but will feel capable of responding to external stimuli (tactile or verbal). You will get local anesthetic in addition to the conscious sedation. I recommend IV sedation when getting wisdom teeth removed as it does provide an extremely comfortable experience while having the surgery performed. READ MORE

  • How long does a temporary crown last?

    Typically, a temporary crown is placed in the time between the time a tooth is prepared for a crown, and the time the lab artist needs to create the porcelain crown. It can range in time from 1-3 weeks, (an average of 2 weeks) if needed. READ MORE
