Named a 2020 and 2021 Top Urologist by Top Doctor New Jersey. Dr. Lasser practices at New Jersey Urology, LLC seeing patients at the offices in Edison and Old Bridge, New Jersey. Offering expertise in all aspects of urologic care, his areas of speciality include robotic surgery, laparoscopic surgery, urologic cancer management, erectile dysfunction, urinary problems and prostate enlargement, kidney stones, and urinary tract reconstruction.
Dr. Lasser serves as the Medical Director of Robotic Surgery at JFK University Medical Center in Edison. He is also affiliated with Raritan Bay Medical Center – Old Bridge and Raritan Bay Medical Center – Perth Amboy. Prior to joining New Jersey Urology, LLC, he served as the Medical Director of Robotic Surgery at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
With a broad educational background, Dr. Lasser obtained his undergraduate degree from The Pennsylvania State University. He then went on to earn his medical degree from Rutgers / Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 2006, graduating with an Award for Excellence in Surgery and as a member of the prestigious honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha.
He trained at Brown University for his general surgery internship and residency in urologic surgery. He then pursued his fellowship in robotic and laparoscopic urologic surgery and endourology at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. He completed additional training in robotic urologic surgery and minimally invasive urologic surgery at Montefiore Medical Center / Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City.
A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a member of the American Urological Association, the doctor is board-certified in urology by the American Board of Urology. The mission of the ABU is to act for the benefit of the public by working with certified urologists to achieve lifelong learning to insure the delivery of high quality, safe, and ethical urologic care.
Throughout his line of work, Dr. Lasser has written chapters in urologic textbooks, has been interviewed on television, has been featured in publications both online and in print ranging from the New York Times to Industry Magazine, as well as has presented multiple papers and abstracts at both regional and international meetings. Additionally, he has published papers on the management of complications of urologic surgery, robotic surgery, and the treatment of kidney cancer, prostate cancer, and kidney stones.
