Founded in 1956, Minneola District Hospital is a 19-bed critical access hospital located in Minneola, Kansas. It offers emergency services, imaging services, physical therapy, acute and swing bed services, stress testing, both inpatient and outpatient lab services, colonoscopy, esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), outpatient treatment, and general surgery. Born in Garden City, Kansas where he lived until the age of 7, Dr. Luna and his family moved to Big Bow. He graduated high school in 1972 before attending Bartlesville Wesleyan College in Oklahoma where he graduated in 1974. After Bartlesville Wesleyan, he attended the University of Kansas School of Medicine until his graduation in 1978. This was followed by the completion of his Doctorate degree at the same educational venue in 1982, and his residency in family medicine at the University of Kansas at Wichita.
Tending to patients of all ages, Dr. Luna is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.
