Dr. Jacob Schuck is the clinical director for Maximum Wellness Rehab, LLC. Maximum Wellness Rehab offers multiple physical therapy services including chiropractic care, physical therapy, acupuncture (cupping) and shockwave therapy.
Dr. Schuck holds expertise in acute and chronic conditions and sports-related injuries. He uses a mixture of individualized exercise programs and manual physical therapy to ensure each patient receives the best results and quality care possible.
Dr. Schuck completed his undergraduate degree with a Bachelors of Science with a focus on Biology from Seton Hall University. Furthering his education he graduated with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from his alma mater in 2010, giving him nearly a decade of experience in his field. He continues to focus his continued education to ensure he remains up to date in his field through Mulligan certifications in evidence-based approaches.
Dr. Schuck evaluates and treats people with health problems resulting from injury or disease. He assess joint motion, muscle strength and endurance, function of heart and lungs, and performance of activities required in daily living, among other responsibilities. Treatment includes therapeutic exercises, cardiovascular endurance training, and training in activities of daily living. Physical therapists treat disease, injury, or loss of a bodily part by physical means, such as the application of light, heat, cold, water, electricity, massage and exercise. They develop treatment plans based upon each patient's strengths, weaknesses, range of motion and ability to function. Physical therapy is a health care field concerned primarily with the treatment of disorders with physical agents and methods, such as massage, manipulation, therapeutic exercises, cold, heat (including short-wave, microwave, and ultrasonic diathermy), hydrotherapy, electric stimulation and light to assist in rehabilitating patients and in restoring normal function after an illness or injury.
When not working, he enjoys playing golf, watching sporting events and rooting for the Duke men's basketball team.
