I have persistent cough, however my doctor says there is no need for a X-ray. Should I still go for one?
Give it more time. If the doctor does not hear anything on auscultation the Xray may not provide much information, other than to reassure you, which resolution of symptoms over time might also do. Be patient. READ MORE

What type of diagnostic test is recommended for abdomen pain?
Start with a chest X-ray and abdominal series and then abdominal ultrasound as an initial screen. Be sure to have blood tests including CBC and lipase and liver function tests. Also, Platelet count and ESR. A CT would then be a next exam depending. READ MORE
