Get to know Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Khaled Almansoori, who serves patients throughout the State of Illinois.

A skilled orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Almansoori is affiliated with Advanced Orthopedic & Spine Care, with offices in Tinley Park and Oak Lawn, Illinois. His extensive training allows him to offer a tailored range of modern options to care for both adult and pediatric spinal and skeletal deformities, including endoscopic and microtube minimally invasive spine surgery, spine and limb orthotic bracing, and revision fracture and non-union care.

Throughout his academic career, he received his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2006, and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Alberta in Canada. He then went on to complete a fellowship in trauma & reconstructive surgery at McMaster University in 2014, followed by two additional fellowships in adult combined spine surgery at the University of Calgary and the George Washington University Medical Center in 2015 and 2016, respectively.

With an unwavering commitment to his specialty, the doctor is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.

Achieving fellowship status, Dr. Almansoori is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (FAAOS), and a Fellow of the North American Spine Society (FNASS).

In his local area, he is affiliated with several hospitals and surgical centers, including Advocate Christ Medical Center, Palos Community Hospital, South Suburban Hospital, and Silver Cross Hospital.

Aside from his work as a surgeon, Dr. Almansoori is dedicated to teaching, medical education, volunteer work, and clinical research. He has a Master’s degree in Health Science Education and serves as the Educational Development Director of the Canadian Orthopedic Association’s Basic Science Course for resident-trainees. He also mentors medical students and residents in orthopedic care and participates as a clinical instructor among several educational programs.

Orthopedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic surgeons use both surgical and non-surgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.
