What do you attribute your success to?
- Dr. Almonsoori has been practicing over 13 years as both a pediatric and adult spine surgeon. In additon to teaching residents, he is the Orthopedic Basic Science Course Didactic lecturer and the Director of Educational Development. Dr. Almonsoori has a masters in Education from the University of Alberta and he received his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Microbiology from Boston University. He has gone on medical mission trips to Guatemala, Lebanon, and Kenya. He speaks internationally on pediatric and adult spinal surgery.

Throughout his academic career, he received his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2006, and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Alberta in Canada. He then went on to complete a fellowship in trauma & reconstructive surgery at McMaster University in 2014, followed by two additional fellowships in adult combined spine surgery at the University of Calgary and the George Washington University Medical Center in 2015 and 2016, respectively.
With an unwavering commitment to his specialty, the doctor is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.
Achieving fellowship status, Dr. Almansoori is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (FAAOS), and a Fellow of the North American Spine Society (FNASS).
