Compassionate, patient-centered care is the goal of Dr. Linville, and he thrives on this interaction. He offers treatment for conditions from simple to complex, including minimally invasive surgery for lumbar and cervical disc herniations, minimally invasive lumbar fusions, cervical disk replacements and fusions, sacroiliac fusions, spinal deformity, fractures, and failed surgeries. His patients are offered options to avoid surgery, when possible, in favor of less-invasive or non-surgical treatments.

In regards to his educational background, Dr. Linville earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine. After a residency in orthopaedic surgery at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, he completed one of the nation’s top spine fellowship programs at Washington University in St. Louis. Additionally, he has provided consulting services to medical device manufacturers and has contributed to the development of a minimally invasive spinal implant system that is used and sold nationally.

A member of the Georgia Orthopaedic Society and the Spine Intervention Society, the doctor is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery and orthopaedic sports medicine by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopaedic residents and surgeons, as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopaedic surgeons.

With over three decades of experience in his field, Dr. Linville is committed to his patients and to the pursuit of minimally invasive treatments to allow quicker recovery and return to function. To date, he remains affiliated with Eastside Medical Center and Gwinnett Medical Center.
