Get to know Dentist Dr. Frank P. Petronella, who serves patients in Tuckahoe, New York.

Dr. Petronella is a general dentist who has over 40 years of extensive dental experience in clinical dentistry and dental research. He is currently serving patients’ dental needs at his private dental practice in Tuckahoe, New York.

The dental practice offers complete care to children, adolescents, adults, and medically compromised patients. New referrals include third-generation patients and it is not uncommon to smell freshly brewed coffee or biscotti wafting through the waiting room. Whether a patient requires dental cleaning or full mouth rehabilitation, including implants, Dr. Petronella and his team offer the highest quality of care. Their goal is to achieve a beautiful smile and restore oral health.

After earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Columbia School of Dental and Oral Surgery in New York, Dr. Petronella went on to complete his oral surgery training at Health Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Beginning his dental career at an early age, his father, Dr. “P”, was a legendary dental lab technician with whom he apprenticed. He was also on the faculty of Columbia and Harvard dental schools and several scientific published papers include his name.

Taking great pride in being able to provide quality care, many of Dr. Petronella’s patients have followed his career from his Bronx beginnings, through Yonkers and now Tuckahoe. They have excellent things to say about him, one stating “On behalf of my family and myself, allow me to express my appreciation and gratitude for your caring and courteous approach taking care of my daughter. The results were excellent. We are impressed and pleased with your bedside manner. You made a difference!”

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. General dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.

On a more personal note, Dr. Petronella resides in Westchester, New York.
