Get to know Psychiatrist Dr. Dia Arpon, who serves patients in Wausau, Wisconsin.

A competent psychiatrist, Dr. Arpon is affiliated with North Central Health Care, seeing patients at the Wausau Campus in Wisconsin. She is also working as an Assistant Clinical Professor for the Medical College Of Wisconsin where she teaches and supervises Psychiatry Residents in Wausau, Wisconsin.

North Central Health Care offers mental health, addiction, skilled nursing, developmental disability, warm water physical therapy and adult protective services for North Central Wisconsin. Their team is driven to continually assess the needs of their community and adapt services so that they can provide the quality care people need most.

Back in the early days of her academic career, Dr. Arpon earned her medical degree from the Drexel University College of Medicine in 2001. She completed her residency in family medicine at the Crozer-Chester Medical Center in 2003, followed by a residency in psychiatry at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College in 2006. Additionally in 2006, she graduated from the Thomas Jefferson University Psychiatry Residency program in Philadelphia, PA.

She also was a National Health Service Corps Scholar serving in Havre, MT for 3 years and 9 years in Snow Hill, Maryland for the Worcester County Health Department.

A Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, the doctor is board-certified in Psychiatry and Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology.

Psychiatry is the medical specialty devoted to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental disorders. These include various maladaptations related to mood, behavior, cognition, and perceptions. Psychiatrists evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.
