At the start of her academic career, Dr. Braden graduated with her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then went on to perform her internship in internal medicine and her residency in internal medicine / emergency medicine at POH Regional Medical Center in Pontiac, Michigan where she went on to have a successful internal medicine and emergency medicine practice before joining Parkview in June 2009 when she started in the ER with Southern Colorado Emergency Medicine Associates.
Dedicated to excellence, she is board-certified in emergency medicine and internal medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM) and the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM). The AOBEM is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of acutely ill patients with advanced cardiac life support, trauma, and the management of other life-threatening medical issues.
In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists, Dr. Braden is an active member of the American Osteopathic Association, and a fellow of the American College of Physicians. She is a fellow in the American Academy of Emergency Medicine and a member of the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians (ACOEP) as well as the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP). Dr. Braden is a member of the ACGME Osteopathic Principles Committee and sits on the Colorado Medical Board.
