Back in the early days of his academic career, Dr. Grandison graduated with his medical degree from the University of the West Indies, Faculty of Medical Sciences in Jamaica in 2003. He then went on to perform his residency in internal medicine at the Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education in 2009, and his fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in 2012.

With an unwavering commitment to his speciality, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
