Dr. Lawlis is Chief Clinical Officer at Alleviant Health Centers, headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas. A 2007 graduate of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Dr. Lawlis went on to complete his residency in psychiatry at UAMS Medical Center in 2012, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year. During his years of study and service, he led multiple research studies and holds numerous awards.
Throughout his productive seven years of service, he worked as Assistant Clinical Professor within the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Hawai’i John A. Burns School of Medicine, as Lead Correctional psychiatrist at Hawai’i Department of Public Safety, and as Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. After that, he enjoyed working as a Christian psychiatrist in an outpatient private practice setting, as well as in telepsychiatry, before stepping into his current role at Alleviant.
Specializing in mental and behavioral health, Dr. Lawlis is board-certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology. Psychiatry is the medical specialty devoted to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental disorders. These include various maladaptation(s) related to mood, behavior, cognition, and perceptions. As a psychiatrist, Dr. Lawlis evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. He conducts thorough psychiatric evaluations, develops treatment plans, prescribes medication, performs procedures, and evaluates treatment results.
Happily married since 2012, Dr. Lawlis is the father of three daughters. He is an active member of New Life Church, and an avid golfer and music lover.
