Born in West Palm Beach, Florida, Dr. Wilson calls the Northwest home and has lived here for the majority of his life. After moving from Florida at age 1, his family moved to Puyallup, Washington. They lived there for six years, after which they relocated to Singapore. Six years later, they moved back to the United States, calling West Linn, Oregon home.
Graduating Valedictorian from West Linn High School, Dr. Wilson went on to obtain his Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Santa Clara University in California. Wanting to pursue a career in dentistry, he earned his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from Oregon Health & Science University in 2001. Immediately following dental school, he completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) at the VA Hospital in Portland.
With a passion for continuing education, he loves the opportunities that the newer technology provides to the care of his patients. One area of particular interest is with CEREC technology, an area that he has grown to love. He is a mentor with the CEREC Doctors group.
“I love changing a patient’s outlook about the dentist. All too often, we hear the words, “I’m sure you are a nice guy, but I hate the dentist”. It may not happen overnight, but I love seeing those patients that wouldn’t come in for years, look forward to their next visits because of the trust they have in the care we provide for them” expressed Dr. Wilson.
Among his professional affiliations, he is a member of the American Dental Association, the Washington State Dental Association, the Clark County Dental Society, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. He is also the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including the American Academy of Operative Dentistry Award (2001) the USA Top Dentist Award ( 2013-2018), and the Top Dentist Award by Portland Monthly (2013-2018), among others.
Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
Involved in the community, Dr. Wilson is an Assistant Coach for Little League Softball, the Head Coach for the City of Camas 1st Grade Basketball, the Head Coach for Pop Warner Tiny Mites Football-East County, and a Volunteer at Clark County Skills Center. Additionally, he has served on the Board for East County Pop Warner Football and has provided CEREC Dental Crowns for patients of the Free Clinic of Southwest Washington.
Happily married, he and his wife, Dr. Kristine Aadland, love to travel and have been fortunate enough to visit other parts of the United States and teach other dentists about newer technologies in dentistry. When they are not touring and teaching advanced dental techniques, Dr. Wilson can often be seen chasing around his four children with their sports and activities. He has been active in coaching the boys or sometimes serving on the board for his children’s activities.
On a more personal note, he loves the outdoors and enjoys running, working out, participating in water sports, snow skiing, as well as playing golf and tennis. During those quieter moments, he likes to sit down with a good book and a nice glass of wine.
