A graduate of the American University of Antigua College of Medicine, Dr. Sivaraman went on to perform his residency in general surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He followed up with a fellowship in vascular surgery at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center.

A Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI), the doctor is board-certified in general surgery and vascular surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.

Achieving professional competence, Dr. Sivaraman is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a Fellow of the Society for Vascular Surgery (FSVS).
