Dr. Galard attributes his success to his mother and older brother, who were teachers. He believes that everything starts with the heart and his ethics. In his spare time, Maurice enjoys running, preaching, doing martial arts, doing volunteer work, and spending time with his family. He and his wife have been married for over 40 years.
