An established orthopedic surgeon & sports medicine specialist, Dr. Douros treats patients at Mequon Health Center & Froedtert Sports Medicine Center in Wisconsin. He is also affiliated with Froedtert Hospital and Zablocki VA Medical Center – Milwaukee.

“I believe the patient and physician relationship is one of trust and teamwork. Both must be invested in improving the patient’s condition to achieve an optimal result. For this to occur a foundation of trust and respect must be formed and this is what I try to achieve with every patient interaction” expressed the doctor. 

Seeing adolescents and adults, he treats diseases and conditions such as dislocated shoulder, hip and knee problems, hip impingement, hip labral injuries, rotator cuff injuries, shoulder injury, and sports hip injuries.

Among his academic appointments, Dr. Douros serves as an Assistant Professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

In addition, he serves in the following team capacities: Assistant Team Physician to the Milwaukee Bucks; Consultant to the Milwaukee Brewers; Assistant Team Physician to the Milwaukee Torrent – Professional Men’s Soccer team; and Assistant Team Physician to U.S. Speedskating.

In 2007, Dr. Douros graduated with his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago. He then went on to perform his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2012, followed by his fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at the Northwestern University-McGaw Medical Center in 2013. 

In the past, he has served as: Assistant Physician to the Chicago Blackhawks (2012-13); Assistant Physician to the Chicago Cubs (2013); and Assistant Physician to Northwestern University Athletics (2012-13).

An authority in his field, Dr. Douros is board-certified in orthopedic surgery & orthopedic sports medicine by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.
