Having been practicing in the Tri-Cities since 2004, Dr. Reeves is the Founder of Reeves Eye Institute, with locations in Johnson City and Kingsport, Tennessee. Since he is a comprehensive ophthalmologist, he is skilled in many facets of ophthalmology, including LASIK eye surgery, cataract surgery, glaucoma, diabetic eye care, and more.
The Reeves Eye Institute focuses on achieving excellence in eye care. It offers comprehensive eye care, including cataract diagnosis and laser-assisted cataract surgery, glaucoma management and laser surgery, diabetic eye disease diagnosis and surgical and non-surgical treatment, retina disease diagnosis and management, intravitreal injections for macular degeneration and other retina disease, as well as diagnosis and treatment options for blepharitis, dry eyes, floaters, flashes, and more. Born and raised in Ogden, Utah, Dr. Reeves attended Ogden High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Weber State University. He earned his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine, completed his transitional internship at Bassett Healthcare, and performed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in ophthalmology through the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO). The ABO is an independent, non-profit organization responsible for certifying ophthalmologists in the United States of America.
Serving in the US Army Reserve for over 9 years, Dr. Reeves also has medical privileges at Franklin Woods Community Hospital, Hawkins County Memorial Hospital, Holston Valley Medical Center, Johnson City Medical Center, and Johnston Memorial Hospital.
