As a sports medicine specialist, Dr. Likness loves keeping active people and athletes of any age at the top of their game. Performing spine injections and non-surgical orthopaedic care to get his patients back in action, he is in practice with Hudson Physicians in Hudson, Wisconsin.

On active medical staff at Hudson Hospital and High Pointe Surgery Center, Dr. Likness runs a state-of-the-art sports concussion program. He has also served as medical director of several local races and many teams from high school to professional level.
In addition to his clinical attributes, the doctor has extensive training and experience in spine and musculoskeletal interventional procedures performed with fluoroscopy and ultrasound, including epidural steroid injections, facet injections, as well as hip and sacroiliac joint injections.
Following the completion of his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine & Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Likeness went on to pursue his training. He completed the Aurora Family Medicine Residency Program, which is affiliated with the University of Wisconsin Department of Family Medicine and Community Health. He then completed his fellowships in sports medicine and spine medicine at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio.
Playing an active role in his field, he is board-certified in family medicine and sports medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.
By the same token, he is board-certified in brain injury medicine by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, whose mission is to serve the public by improving the quality of patient care in physical medicine and rehabilitation. This is accomplished through a process of certification and maintenance of certification that fosters excellence and encourages continuous learning.
In order to stay up to date in his field, Dr. Likness remains a member of several professional organizations, including the American Osteopathic Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, the North American Spine Society, and the Spine Intervention Society.
