Get to know Internist Dr. Humera Naqvi, who serves patients in Katy, Texas.

Dr. Naqvi is a compassionate board-certified internist focusing on each concern of patients and provides the best medical care at Medical Office of Katy in Texas.

There, she helps patients manage acute illnesses as well as chronic medical conditions, including heart disease, elevated blood pressure, elevated cholesterol, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, obesity, diabetes, nutrition, and preventive medicine. She also offers weight loss and nutritional counseling, as well as many other healthcare services to help patients live and lead healthy lives.

Academically, Dr. Naqvi earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Roseau, Dominica in 2008. She then went on to complete her residency in internal medicine at Morristown Medical Center in 2011.

Subsequent to her training, she attained board certification in internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Before joining the inpatient hospitalist program at Bayonne Medical center and St. Barnabas Medical Center, Dr. Naqvi started her career in the primary care clinical setting in Jersey City, New Jersey. In 2014, she moved to Houston and continued to work as a hospitalist at North Cypress Medical Center, and later at Memorial Hermann Katy. She has also worked at Rehab facilities including Kindred, St. Catherine, and Health South.

A Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), Dr. Naqvi is also a member of the Texas Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, and the Society of Hospital Medicine.

In Texas, she is affiliated with Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.

Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Naqvi enjoys doing outdoor activities, running/aerobics, kickboxing, boot camps, watching American football, as well as traveling and exploring new cities/countries with her husband and children. She plays football fantasy every year and often has been the only woman in the men league. If she could spend a day with anyone, it would be with Eli Manning. 

On a more personal note, she speaks several languages, including English, Hindi, Urdu, Spanish, and Punjabi.
