Get to know Diagnostic Radiologist Dr. Neal F. Junck, who serves patients in Mesa, Arizona. 

Dr. Junck is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist who is licensed to practice medicine in Arizona, Iowa, and California. He is affiliated with Banner Desert Medical Center, Banner Heart Hospital, and Banner Baywood Medical Center.

A 1978 graduate of the Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine, Dr. Junck went on to serve his internship and residency in diagnostic neurology at Loma Linda University Medical Center.

With an unwavering commitment to his speciality, he is board-certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR is an independent, not-for-profit organization and is one of 24 national medical specialty boards that make up the American Board of Medical Specialties.

Diagnostic radiology refers to the field of medicine that uses non-invasive imaging scans to diagnose a patient. The tests and equipment used sometimes involves low doses of radiation to create highly detailed images of an area. A diagnostic radiologist is a medical doctor who specializes in diagnosing and treating disease and injury, using medical imaging techniques such as x-rays, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine, positron emission tomography (PET), fusion imaging, and ultrasound.
