2000 Howard Farm Dr Cumming GA, 30041About
Born and raised in Atlanta, Dr. Bradbury attended college at Washington and Lee University, where he discovered his passion for the medical sciences. He was a 4-year letterman for the Generals football team and served as president of the university’s Pre-Medical Society.
He obtained his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia (MCG). As a medical student, he witnessed the power of orthopedic surgery as a means of improving the quality of life for those suffering from arthritis and other painful joint conditions. There, he decided to specialize his career exclusively on hip and knee replacement surgery. At MCG, he served as president of the Honor Court and Alpha Omega Alpha (medical honor society), was a recipient of the Stehle Memorial Scholarship, and graduated #1 in his class.
He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was elected to serve as Administrative Chief Resident. He did his fellowship in hip and knee replacement surgery at the highly selective OrthoCarolina Hip and Knee Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Dr. Bradbury began his practice in Atlanta in 2007, striving for excellence in his clinical practice, his research, and as an educator. Since introducing the anterior hip replacement technique to the Atlanta market in 2009, Dr. Bradbury has performed over 4,000 anterior total hip replacements and a total of over 7,500 hip and knee replacement procedures. He has vast experience with outpatient hip and knee replacement surgery, narcotic-sparing recovery protocols, and robotic-assisted surgery.
He has served as President of the Georgia Orthopedic Society (2022-2023) and Atlanta Orthopedic Society (2015-2017). He was designated as an Atlanta Magazine Top Doctor in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. In 2023, he was recognized as a Top Doctor by The Atlantan.
According to Bradbury, “The most effective tool in medicine is a clear channel of communication between doctor and patient. Without it, the outcome of any treatment is happenstance.” Over the past 15 years, he has trained hundreds of medical students, over 70 orthopedic surgery residents, and 20 hip and knee replacement fellows from across the globe. Dr. Bradbury has given over 100 invited lectures about hip and knee replacement across the country at academic medical centers and national meetings. A recognized innovator, he has broad experience with surgical implant and instrument design.
