With over 25 years worth of experience, Dr. Larkins works with patients at his private practice in St. Paul, Minnesota. With a reputation for quality care and excellent medical practice, he provides the best possible care by ensuring patients know the procedure and goals thoroughly.

Educated in the United States, he graduated summa cum laude with his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in Political Science at the Case Western Reserve University in 1980, and earned his medical degree from the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in 1984. He completed his internship and residency in neurosurgery at the Cleveland Clinic in 1990, followed by a fellowship in microneurosurgery at Presbyterian University Hospital in 1991.

As a testament of his continued education, the doctor is board-certified in neurosurgery by the American Board of Neurological Surgery (ABNS). The broad aim of the ABNS is to encourage the study, improve the practice, elevate the standards and advance the science of neurological surgery and thereby serve the cause of public health.

Achieving fellowship status, Dr. Larkins is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), and Fellow of the American Academy of Neurological Surgeons (FAANS).

On a professional level, he is an active member of the American Medical Association, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the Eastern Association of Surgery of Trauma, and the American Association of the Surgery of Trauma.

In his local area, Dr. Larkins is affiliated with Regions Hospital, Abbott Northwestern Hospital, and North Memorial Hospital.

As for his academic appointments, he serves as faculty at the University of North Dakota, and is a Clinical Instructor at the University of California-Davis, and Wright State University.
