Founded in 1866, University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center has a long history of providing exceptional healthcare for the residents of Northeast Ohio. It includes general medical, intensive care, and surgical units as well as two major hospitals: University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center and University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. With more than 1,000 registered beds, University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center provides primary, specialty and subspecialty medical and surgical care. 

Among her other appointments, Dr. Biswas serves as a Clinical Associate Professor within the Department of Radiation Oncology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. She is also a member of the Developmental Therapeutics Program at Case Comprehensive Cancer Center at Case Western Reserve University.

She then relocated to the United States, performing her fellowship in radiation oncology at Strong Memorial Hospital in 2002 and her internship in general surgery at New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens in 2003. This was followed by a residency and fellowship in radiation oncology at Strong Memorial Hospital in 2004 and 2008, respectively. 

A member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the doctor is board-certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The mission of the ABR is to serve patients, the public, and the medical profession by certifying that its diplomates have acquired, demonstrated, and maintained a requisite standard of knowledge, skill, and understanding essential to the safe and competent practice of diagnostic radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.

Excelling her efforts, Dr. Biswas’ research interests include breast, esophageal and colorectal cancer & gastrointestinal cancers, general and thoracic.
