Get to know General Practitioner Dr. Angel Luis Soto, who serves patients in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.

Dr. Soto, a general practitioner, is the Medical Director of Wellness Alliance in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.

Wellness Alliance is a customer service oriented company, with an integrative and multidisciplinary approach to occupational and preventive medicine. The providers ensure a high quality health service, under a new style of seeing medicine – Boutique Medicine. 

Educated in Mexico, Dr. Soto earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from the University of Puerto Rico in 1998. He then went on to graduate with his medical degree from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara School of Medicine in 1998, and his Master of Public Health degree from the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus in 2010. He also completed his medical internship at Mutual Aid Hospital.

Professionally, Dr. Soto is an active member of the Puerto Rico College of Physicians and a FAA Senior Aviation Medical Examiner. He also holds certifications through the Puerto Rico Board of Medical Examiners, the Drug Enforcement Agency, Mental Services Administration Health and Addiction, and is certified in Advanced Life Support.

In the medical profession, a general practitioner (GP) or family physician is a physician who treats acute and chronic illnesses and provides preventive care and health education to patients of all ages. GPs’ duties are not confined to specific fields of medicine, and they have particular skills in treating people with multiple health issues. They are trained to treat patients to levels of complexity that vary between countries.
