Get to know Emergency Physician Dr. Mboh Elango, who serves patients in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. Elango is a board-certified emergency physician with 15 years of experience and expertise in treating medical emergencies in community-based emergency rooms. 

He is currently the president of the MEDICI Advisory Group as well as the founder and medical director for MEDICI Urgent Care and Wellness Center (MEDICI).

Located in the heart of downtown Atlanta, MEDICI Urgent Care and Wellness Center is a cutting-edge healthcare delivery center that offers urgent care and wellness services. Its team of board-certified providers offers care for minor emergencies as well as a holistic and integrative approach to health and wellness. The practice is designed to bridge the gap between traditional care and local emergency rooms with an emphasis on patient-centered care and patient-involved decision-making. In addition to traditional medical care, MEDICI incorporates other modalities to optimize the overall wellness and health of patients. These include acupuncture, infrared sauna, intravenous hydration therapy with vitamins and antioxidants, and massage therapy. 

Dr. Elango received his medical degree from the Morehouse School of Medicine in 2004. He completed his residency at Emory University School of Medicine, graduating with the “Award for Clinical Excellence” in his class. 

Dr. Elango is certified in emergency medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM). The ABEM is one of 24 medical specialty certification boards recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties. He additionally is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). 

Dr. Elango is  a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the Georgia College of Emergency Physicians as well as the Royal Institute of International Affairs. He is also a member of the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine and the European Lifestyle Medicine Organization.

He has been named in the 100 Most Influential Atlantans in Medicine in 2020 and 2021 as well as a Power Player in Medicine in 2021. He has also been recognized as one of Atlanta’s Leading Health and Beauty Experts in 2019 as well as Premier Medical Experts in 2021. 

Dr. Elango is an avid art collector and is fluent in French.
