Get to know Infectious Disease Specialist Dr. Aparajita Singh, who serves patients in Mesa, Arizona.

Dr. Singh is an infectious disease specialist who is affiliated with Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona. 

Banner Baywood Medical Center opened in 1984 and provides complete acute care services in a 342-bed hospital. The 50,000 square-foot emergency department treats a variety of ailments and offers advanced treatment areas, close to 58 exam rooms and medical imaging technology. With an unwavering commitment to her speciality, Dr. Singh is board-certified in infectious disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

She earned her medical degree from the Kasturba Medical College, Manipal in India. Upon relocating to the United States, she went on to complete her residency in internal medicine and her fellowship in infectious disease at Henry Ford Hospital – Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. 

Infectious disease, also known as infectiology, is a medical specialty dealing with the diagnosis, control, and treatment of infections. An infectious disease specialist’s practice may consist largely of managing nosocomial (hospital-acquired) infections or it may be out-patient based.
