With a passion for his profession, Dr. Piotrowski graduated from Michigan State University – Lyman Briggs College with a degree in Nutritional Science in 2008. From there, he went on to attend The University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, graduating with his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2013.
He completed further training in general dentistry, emphasizing prosthetics (crowns, bridges, dentures, partial dentures, implants, and splints), pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, and endodontics through a general practice residency at the Detroit VA Medical Center.
Regularly updating his techniques through continuing education, Dr. Piotrowski’s certifications and training include basic cardiovascular life support, advanced cardiovascular life support, medical emergency training, pain management, Invisalign, FastBraces, Six Month Smiles, esthetic dentistry & cosmetics, biocompatible dentistry, holistic dentistry, dental management of sleep apnea and snoring, as well as treatment and management of medically compromised patients.
For the purpose of advancing his professional development, he remains a member of the Michigan Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the West Michigan District Dental Society, and the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology. He is also involved in dental mission trips to provide humanitarian relief to the underserved, both within our own borders and abroad.
Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
Happily married, Dr. Piotrowski and his wife, Alexis, have a daughter named Sasha. They also have a fur baby – an English Bulldog named Tyrone.
Outside of practicing dentistry, Dr. Piotrowski enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, entertaining and being entertained by their dog, fishing, boating and being on the water, going on dental mission trips, traveling, watching movies, cooking, and doing physical fitness.
