How do you loosen the sacroiliac joint?
Work activating glute muscles (butt muscles). If your sacrum is not mobile it is typically locked because of excessive curve in the lumbar spine. Just like a bicep and tricep- if I flex my bicep completely then the tricep is forced to relax. Your spinal extensors are tightened to protect something usually due to pain. This is shutting down your actual stabilizing muscles- the glutes. READ MORE
Is it normal to feel pain after chiropractic?
Yes and no. If its the first couple of adjustments then there will be soreness. Similarly, if you haven’t been to a gym in twelve years, then it won’t matter what or how little you do- you’ll still have soreness pain. Then there’s the pain after every adjustment, typically this is due to a reflex that your brain contracts the muscles to fight the movement. If that happens the muscles will lose because of leverage and therefore get strained. This will cause some minor inflamation, and inflammation causes activation of pain fibers. Therefore its experienced as pain. You should talk to your doctor about your experience and see if there may be another way to get a better result. READ MORE
What happens after frozen shoulder manipulation?
Under anesthesia, or just a chiropractor going to rack that shoulder? First, you should have (past tense) or absolutely should inquire the doctor that is recommending it as to what kind of results he had the experience of seeing, and what kind of recovery time he would expect given your history, age, and length of time with frozen shoulder. Also, I would recommend asking what causes it, and how will it be prevented in the future from exacerbation. With that said, I would recommend under anesthesia. Only because it's painful and it's not easy to relax while someone has to do what they need to. If you can’t or muscles fight the adjustment to free the adhesion, then recovery will be longer and pain will be prolonged due to straining or tearing of muscle to restore motion and synovial joint lubrication. Either way, it will get better! READ MORE
Neck to shoulder pain?
This is a complicated case with not enough info to give any accuracy in diagnosis. Reflexes, muscle strength tests of both upper extremities, dermatome testing, and orthopedic tests would help locate the area that is compromising the sensory nerve/ nerves. confirmation tests such as an EMG, or MRI may be necessary for proper referral of treatment. My educated guess is it's probably two problems such as thoracic outlet syndrome ( TOS )and long thoracic nerve compression due to looking down and to the left for extended periods. usually occurs on the dominant hand side. Both are treatable, but with that being said, that's not a definitive diagnosis without the above testing. READ MORE

I have a problem with my posture that is causing back pain. What should I do?
Very complicated question without seeing the extend of damage and a more accurate diagnosis it is hard to give you a yes or no. We have come a long way in this area of postural changes causing spinal pain. Posture is non volitionally controlled. You can force an over rodenin the system and voluntarily change it but it won’t be plastic or long lasting. Adjusting it isn’t going to be a long term effects you are looking for but may allieviate the pain experienced with postural changes. See a FNOR doc for help. FNOR.net READ MORE
