Dr. Dhanantwari attended SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, where she graduated with her Medical Degree. After obtaining her Medical Degree Dr. Dhanantwari completed her residency with State University of NY Health Science Ctr/Brooklyn. Following her residency, she undertook her fellowship with Children’s Hospital National Medical Center – DC and Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Dr. Dhanantwari is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics/Pediatric Cardiology. Dr. Dhanantwari currently practices with Northwell Health, and is affiliated with Long Island Jewish Medical Center, North Shore University Hospital and Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children’s Med Center of NY. A pediatric cardiologist is a pediatrician who has receives extensive training in diagnosing and treating children’s cardiac problems. Evaluation and treatment can begin with the fetus since heart problems can now be detected before birth.A pediatric cardiologist is trained to perform and interpret procedures such as electrocardiograms, echocardiograms and exercise tests. In cases of more significant heart disease, a pediatric cardiologist may perform a cardiac catheterization in order to diagnose or treat the child’s heart problem.
