Get to know Chiropractor Dr. Orlan Lee Fikes, who serves patients in San Antonio, Texas.

In practice since 1989, Dr. Fikes is the Founder of Fikes Chiropractic in San Antonio, Texas. He offers chiropractic care for issues such as arthritis pain, car accident pain, disc injury, headache, low back pain, neck pain, spinal injury, whiplash, and more.

Prior to his current endeavours, he served as the Clinic Director & Chiropractor at Great Northwest Chiropractic Center from 1982 until 1989.

At the start of his academic career, Dr. Fikes graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from East Texas State University in 1977. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Texas Chiropractic Center College in 1981. In the meantime, he performed his one-year internship at Texas Chiropractic College Outpatient Clinic from 1980 until 1981. 

To advance his professional efforts, he is a member of the Texas Chiropractic Association (TCA). The TCA supports, protects, and advances doctors of chiropractic in the state of Texas. The association serves the chiropractic profession with a never-ending spirit of dedication and commitment by expanding public access to chiropractic care.

Chiropractic is a form of alternative medicine that mainly deals with the diagnosis and treatment of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine. A chiropractor uses spinal adjustments, manipulation, and other techniques to manage patients’ health concerns, including neck pain, back pain, headaches, vertigo and a long list of other ailments and conditions. They aim to improve patients’ functionality and quality of life by properly aligning the body’s musculoskeletal structure and enabling the body to heal itself naturally, without the use of medication or surgery.
