Located in the heart of downtown San Antonio, The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio, owned by CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System, provides inpatient care to approximately 5,000 children, 80,000 emergency department visits (including the freestanding pediatric emergency center in Westover Hills), and 73,000 outpatients visits. A world-class, freestanding hospital anchored by a broad, integrated network of community-based services and partners, The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio joined Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital in February of 2013 to ensure that the children of San Antonio and South Texas have access to world-class pediatric care. In this alliance, Baylor recruits, employs, and oversees physicians. Texas Children’s provides consulting and clinical expertise.
A 2003 graduate of the College of Medical Sciences, Bharatpur in Nepal, Dr. Nepal went on to perform his residency at the Institute of Medicine, Maharajgunj Hospital in 2007. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in pediatrics at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in New York in 2012.
A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), he is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.
Alongside his clinical role, Dr. Nepal serves as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Baylor College of Medicine.
