Innovator, Pioneer, Perfectionist – Dr. Roberto Garcia, MD, FACS, is at the forefront of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery in Northeast Florida, serving the communities of Ponte Vedra Beach, Jacksonville, and St. Augustine. As the Founder and Principal of Contoura Facial Plastic Surgery, he has established himself as a pioneer in providing cutting-edge surgical and nonsurgical anti-aging treatments to his patients.

With over 15,000 facial surgeries under his belt, Dr. Garcia is renowned for his expertise in procedures such as the Contoura Lift®, fat transfer, facelift, minilift, upper and lower blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty. His commitment to innovation led him to become the first physician in Northeast Florida to introduce Kybella, a revolutionary nonsurgical injection that targets fatty tissue in the neck. 

A distinguished Cum Laude graduate of Jacksonville University, Dr. Garcia’s passion for facial surgery was ignited during his medical school years at the Medical College of Wisconsin. After completing an internship in general surgery at SUNY Health Sciences Center, he completed a four-year residency in otolaryngology/head and neck surgery.

During this time, Dr. Garcia was involved in developing techniques for the management of facial trauma. He conducted several scientific projects and published a number of scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals. 

Following his residency, Dr. Garcia underwent specialized training in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the prestigious McCollough Institute for Appearance and Health in Alabama. Throughout his training, he authored and presented studies on treatments for aging lower eyelids and the management of facial fractures.

A leader of the aesthetics industry, Dr. Garcia holds certifications from the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). 

First and foremost an educator, Dr. Garcia has developed and trained dozens of other physicians in his groundbreaking procedures aimed at reversing the signs of aging. His dedication is further evident in his published scientific articles and acclaimed books, including “The Art of Facial Aesthetics”, which is widely recognized as an excellent resource for patients considering facial plastic procedures. 

A sought-after speaker, Dr. Garcia frequently shares his expertise at academic institutions and industry events, including the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery International Symposium. He and his practice also host clinical rotations for physician assistant and nurse practitioner students, further contributing to the advancement of the field.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Dr. Garcia cherishes his role as a husband and father of three, finding joy in beach life and quality time with his family.
