Get to know Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. M. Kevin Auld, who serves patients in Seattle, Washington.

Board-certified orthopedic surgeon Dr. Auld is currently serving patients at Orthopedic Physician Associates in Seattle, Washington. Orthopedic Physician Associates is the Pacific Northwest’s premier provider of orthopedic and musculoskeletal services. The physicians and clinical staff work together to ensure that each patient receives complete orthopedic care, whether surgical or nonsurgical, for problems or diseases of the bones, joints, and muscles.

With expertise in sports medicine orthopedics and surgery for problems with the shoulders and the knees, Dr. Auld’s goal is to provide the care and expertise needed to improve or restore his patients’ quality of life. He is an orthopedic consultant for the Seattle Seahawks and for the Seattle Mariners. He is also affiliated with Swedish Orthopedic Institute – Seattle, Northwest Hospital & Medical Center, and Seattle Surgery Center. 

Pertaining to his academic career, he earned his medical degree at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, South Dakota. He then went on to complete his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Oklahoma, his residency in pediatric orthopedics at Boston Children’s Hospital, and his residency in orthopedic surgery at Lenox Hills Hospital. 

In addition to being a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. Auld is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, which is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons, as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.

Orthopedic surgery or orthopedics is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic surgeons use both surgical and nonsurgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders. 

In his spare time, Dr. Auld enjoys participating in outdoor activities, especially sports, both professional and amateur. He is also deeply involved in environmental causes, community service, and education.
