With more than three decades of experience in the field of obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Kopczynski (known to his patients as Dr. K) is affiliated with Novant Health Southeast OB/GYN. In addition to delivering babies and performing surgery, he has a special interest in in-office procedures including tubal sterilization, endometrial ablation and other hysteroscopic procedures.

Becoming a doctor because of his fascination with human biology, Dr. Kopczynski put that love of biology to work after a professional baseball career with the Texas Rangers. He graduated with his medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine at Chapel Hill, and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Carolinas Medical Center.
