Dr. Froelich graduated with his Medical Degree from the West Virginia University Medical School in 1977, giving him over four decades of experience in his field. After obtaining his Medical Degree he completed his Diagnostic Radiology Residency with the Massachusetts General Hospital. Wanting to further his training he then completed his Radiology Fellowship with the Nuclear Medicine Division at the Massachusetts General Hospital, followed by a Radiology Fellowship with Harvard Medical School. Dr. Froelich is dual certified by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine and the American Board of Radiology with Special Competency in Nuclear Radiology. To stay up to date in his field, he remains a professional member of the Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, American College of Physicians, American Association for Medical Systems and Informatics (formerly the Society for Computer Medicine), IEEE Computer Society, American Medical Association, and the Chairman of the MRI Accreditation Program ACR (American College of Radiology). Dr. Froelich currently practices with the University of Minnesota Medical Center and is a Professor of Radiology, Radiological Physics & Medicine (Cardiology) with the Department of Radiology in the University of Minnesota. He holds an expertise in Diagnostic Radiology, Molecular Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, and Oncological Imaging. A radiologist is a physician who reads and interprets digital images, or x-rays, of patients obtained through a variety of cameras, machines, and imaging equipment.
