Get to know Physiatrist and Pain Management Specialist Dr. Patrick N. Rhoades, who serves patients in Modesto, California.

Dr. Rhoades, a skilled physiatrist and pain management specialist, is the owner and operator of DR 95350 in Modesto, California. With over 30 years in practice, he offers his patients an unmatched level of expertise in aesthetic treatments, naturopathic care, and anti-aging medicine, as well as pain medicine and rehabilitation.

As a trained specialist, he has comprehensive knowledge of how nerves, muscles, and bones work together. He uses this expertise to help patients choose aesthetic procedures that produce top-quality results. He also uses his medical expertise to assist patients who are suffering from sexual dysfunction and provides hormone replacement treatments for patients struggling with hormone loss.  

After graduating from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Dr. Rhoades completed his internship and residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Thereafter, he moved back to California and opened Central Valley Pain Management, Valley Surgery Center, and Valley Wellness Center shortly after getting settled in Modesto. 

Aided by his expertise, he is dual board-certified in pain medicine & physical medicine and rehabilitation by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, which was established in 1947 as the certifying body for the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation under the American Board of Medical Specialties.

Striving to help individuals to look and feel their best, Dr. Rhoades goes above and beyond in treating his patients and is tirelessly dedicated to making sure they have the tools they need to have a fulfilled life. He is constantly learning new skills and methods in order to keep his treatments cutting edge and has become known as the “lip man” for his skilled injecting technique. 

Physical medicine and rehabilitation, also known as physiatry and physiatrics, is a branch of medicine that aims to enhance and restore functional ability and quality of life to those with physical impairments or disabilities. Physiatrists treat a wide variety of medical conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons. 

Pain management is a branch of medicine employing an interdisciplinary approach for easing the suffering and improving the quality of life of those living with chronic pain. A pain management specialist is a doctor who specializes in pain medicine, focusing on the evaluation, treatment, and prevention of pain.

Devoted to helping his patients regain their self-confidence and enjoy a healthy, active lifestyle, Dr. Rhoades has won several awards during his medical career, including the Healthgrades Honor Roll. He is fluent in Spanish and enjoys working with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

On a more personal note, his favorite place to vacation is in Hawaii, but he always loves to spend time with his six children and four grandchildren whenever he can. His hobbies include playing tennis, reading, and weightlifting (he has even won a world championship!).
