  • What can I not do after scoliosis surgery?

Thanks for your question. There are all sorts of scoliosis surgeries being performed. The smartest thing to do is ask your surgeon or his or her assistant. Almost all of us will have a protocol already established, and following it will be critical to the outcome of your surgery. READ MORE

  • What are the restrictions after a shoulder surgery?

It depends on the surgery. We tailor our post-operative regimen to each patient. Small rotator cuff tears do not always have to have a sling, while large tears can be kept in a sling for up to 6 weeks. After some types of shoulder replacements, we don't use a sling at all, and we often use a sling for a shorter period of time following replacements than when we repair the rotator cuff. Your grandfather needs to make sure he understands his doctor's plan. Tom Parr READ MORE
