A trusted pain management specialist, Dr. Simopoulos is in practice at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital - Milton. His clinical interests include electrical neuromodulatory therapies, chronic spinal and neuropathic pain, radiofrequency therapies for pain, injection based treatments, and cryoneurolysis for refractory pain.

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Simopoulos earned his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 1995, before completing his internship at Faulkner Hospital, and his residency in anesthesiology at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 1999. Finally, he completed his fellowship in pain medicine at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in 2000.

As a testament of his continued education, the doctor is board-certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA). As the certifying body for anesthesiologists since 1938, the ABA is committed to partnering with physicians to advance lifelong learning and exceptional patient care. Its mission is to advance the highest standards of the practice of anesthesiology.

With a passion for teaching, he serves as an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at Harvard Medical School.
