Dr. Brayer graduated with his Medical Degree from the University of South Florida in 2009, giving him over a decade of experience in his field. After obtaining his Medical Degree then completed his Internal Medicine Residency with the University of South Florida. Wanting to further his training he then completed his Immunology fellowship with the La Jolla Institute of Allergy & Immunology followed by a Hematology/Oncology fellowship with H. Lee Moffit Cancer Center and Research Institute.
Dr. Brayer is dual certified in Hematology and Oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. To stay up to date in his field he remains a professional member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, American Association for Cancer Research, Florida Society of Clinical Oncology, and the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer. He currently practices with Moffitt Cancer Center. He holds an expertise in Hematology, Oncology, Physician Scientist, Tumor Immunology, and Plasma Cell Displasia.
A hematologist-oncologist who is a physician who specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and/or prevention of blood diseases and cancers such as iron-deficiency anemia, hemophilia, sickle-cell disease, leukemia and lymphoma. They will be trained in hematology, the study of blood and oncology, the study of cancer, but will specialize in treating blood cancers, such as Hodgkins and non-Hodgkins lymphomas, leukemias and multiple myelomas. Jason B. Brayer, MD, PhD, attended the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, FL, and received his medical degree in 2009. His postgraduate training includes his internal medicine residency conducted at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, FL (2009-2011). Also, Dr. Jason B. Brayer completed his fellowship training in hematology-oncology at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute (2011-2015). He received board certification in internal medicine, medical oncology, and hematology from the American Board of Internal Medicine. Before medical school, Dr. Brayer earned a PhD degree in Immunology from the University of Florida (2000) followed by a fellowship in immunology performed at La Jolla Institute for Allergy and Immunology in La Jolla, CA (2000-2002).
