A seasoned internist, Dr. Obuz is the Founder of MediSlim by Physicians, a network of physicians dedicated to the medical treatment of obesity. He has a special interest in nutritional medicine and its role in preventing metabolic disorders such as diabetes, high cholesterol, and other related conditions. Originally from Turkey, he graduated with his medical degree from the Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1988. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in internal medicine/pediatrics at the Albert Einstein Healthcare Network in 1996.

As a testament to his success, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
