Get to know Podiatrist Dr. Jose Paul Loor, who serves patients in New York, New York. 

Dr. Loor’s comprehensive approach to podiatric medicine, particularly in ankle trauma cases, distinguishes him. He is the sole member of the AO Foundation in New York State, with training overseen by orthopedic surgeons.

He is also a captain in the 4220th unit of the US Army Medical Reserves Corps. His active involvement in all aspects of his field, as well as his excellent skills and breadth of knowledge and the utmost level of patient care, will continually benefit patients seen by this practice. Dr. Loor’s military experience has involved extensive limb salvage operations as well as pioneering innovations in durable medical equipment, including casts and boots, which has provided him a one-of-a-kind understanding in customized care for his patients. This equipment can treat, prevent and reduce damage and blistering on a case-to-case basis. During his service, he was exposed to more unique and diverse trauma than the average physician, giving him a cutting edge in his expertise.

In 2009, Dr. Loor earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He went on to complete his residency in general practice at New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He also received training in advanced imaging at Lenox Hill Radiology. 

Dr. Loor is board-certified in podiatry by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM). The ABPM offers a comprehensive board qualification and certification process in podiatric medicine and orthopedics. ABPM is the only board recognized by the Joint Committee on the Recognition of Specialty Boards, under the authority of the American Podiatric Medical Association to certify in podiatric orthopedics and primary podiatric medicine. 

Podiatry is a branch of medicine devoted to the study, diagnosis, and medical and surgical treatment of disorders of the foot, ankle, and lower extremity. As a podiatrist with over a decade of experience, Dr. Loor diagnoses and treats over one hundred conditions of the feet each year.
